Description

Gravesend Rowing Club, New Bridge Causeway, Gordon Promenade DA12 2BS is the oldest sports club in Gravesham (est.1878), and has charitable status. It provides training and rowing experiences in sculling and sweep oared boats. The lower age range at which you can join is 13, and we have a thriving junior and adult section. We are affiliated to our governing body (British Rowing Association), which dictates that in order to row you must be able to swim 100m. However at £16 per month you can become a land trainer. This is also the cost of junior rowing membership, adult rowers pay £25 per month. We not only train but also enter into regattas and head races throughout the year. The club is open every day of the week for one of our membership groups. We also have strong links with several schools in the area as well as scouts and explorer groups and the PLA. See www.gravesendrc.co.uk email secretary@gravesendrc.co.uk or ring  07497 810 043 (only club times)
