Maidstone Health Walks

Contact: Paul Linaker 07836 720643; Maidstone Health Walks has been running for many years and is part of a national organisation, Walking for Health, hosted by two charities The Ramblers and Macmillan Cancer Support. There are are more than 600 schemes countrywide contributing to improving the health of over 75,000 regular walkers.

The following walks are held every week, are easy, suitable for all ages, led by qualified Walk Leaders and absolutely free.

Tuesday: Mote Park. 10.30 Meet at the cafe. A one hour walk round the beautiful park, or a separate short walk for those returning from ill health or new to walking.

Wednesday: Cherry Orchard. 11.30 Meet at the roundabout near Tesco Express, just off Hermitage Lane near the hospital. A mixture of pavement and woodland track walking for about three-quarters of an hour, normally ending at the Blackthorn Cafe.

Thursday: Maidstone Town Centre. 11.00 Meet outside the Town Hall for a walk down through Brenchley Gardens and into Whatman Park along the Medway for about one hour.
