Description

It’s the last chance to join Oliver and the other orphans on stage in Chatham!

RARE Productions will be holding a final audition for our Oliver! cast on Wednesday 5th July from 5 – 7pm which will be held at the Brook Theatre, Chatham and we would love to see you there!

The auditions offer young people the chance to showcase their talent in a relaxed and friendly environment and the opportunity to develop their skills and confidence further with our team of professional and welcoming choreographers, directors and many more!

Consider yourself at home with this classic musical based on Charles Dickens' novel, Oliver Twist.

The streets of Victorian England come to life as Oliver, a malnourished orphan in a workhouse, becomes the neglected apprentice of an undertaker.

Join Oliver as he escapes to London and finds acceptance amongst a group of petty thieves and pickpockets led by the elderly Fagin.

When Oliver is captured for a theft that he did not commit, Mr Brownlow takes him in. Fearing the safety of his hideout, Fagin employs the sinister Bill Sykes and the sympathetic Nancy to kidnap him back, threatening Oliver’s chances of discovering the true love of a family.

Be part of bringing this action packed story to the stage with a bang this October!

Wednesday 5th July

The set up is relaxed and informal so there will be no need to prepare anything, just be sure to wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for dancing along with your best award winning smile!

Within the 20 – 30 minute time frame, the auditionees will be placed in groups of 10-12 and will be taught a song from the show, a short dance routine then asked to read a short piece of dialogue to indicate the level of confidence a young person has.

If successful in securing a part in this exciting production, rehearsals will take place at Chatham Grammar School for Girls, between 5pm and 9pm depending on a person's role in the show, commencing on Wed 30th August.

The show goes on stage at Central Theatre, Chatham from 17th to 21st October 2017.
