Medway Ramblers Walk

5 mile leisurely walk

Medway Ramblers Walk

Sunday January 25th, meet Ray raycolinashby@hotmail.com 01634 315967, 10.00am Bluebell Hill, Common Road near the Robin Hood PH TQ734627 ME5 9RJ

for a 5 mile leisurely walk in a north-easterly direction, past Wouldham Common and the Keepers Cottage. The road degenerates into Hill Road passing Harris's Copse before a brief lookout from a viewpoint. Then NDW along Shoulder of Mutton Wood and its burial mound. Descend towards Nashenden across the Nature Reserve to the top of Little Monk Wood, through Gorse Wood and Monk Wood to the top of a steepish slope that leads down to Nashenden Farm, up through Syle Wood, a wide path leading to the Robin Hood Pub and to the top of the path to our start point. Interesting features are tumuli and good views over the Medway Valley.

Pub at end with lunches available.
