Medway Ramblers Walk

Sunday 17th December, 10.00am

Leisurely circular walk 10 miles / 16.1 km

estimated finish 3.30pm

Faversham Ramble

Starts at 10:00: Meet in the car park of Faversham Railway Station - top of The Mall off the A2. Parking on Sundays is normally around £1 per day. (ME13 8EB, TR015609)

Faversham out via Goodnestone, and Graveney and returning largely along the Saxon Shore Way. Generally, a ‘flat walk’ with less than 200ft of ascent. We will have a picnic lunch stop near the Sportsman PH, Seasalter – but this is not a pub for a quick pub lunch – even if you could get a table!

St Bartholomew's Church at Goodnestone – a Norman church built in 12th Century. Graveney Marsh where the last exchange of gun fire with an enemy took place during WW2. There is a considerable amount of wildlife / shipping to be seen - depending on the tide - when we join the Saxon Shore Way.
